Who We Are

PORTAL is an initiative of the Latin American & Caribbean Studies Institute (LACSI) at the University of Georgia (UGA). It unites faculty, students, advocates, community-based and faith-based service providers, policy makers and other stakeholders committed to researching and addressing systemic issues and opportunities that profoundly impact the U.S. Latino community’s ability to meet their immediate needs and achieve self-sufficiency, while exercising their inalienable human and civil rights.
